HerdWhistle Moves to Larger Facility as Company Grows

HerdWhistle Technologies, Inc. announced today that it will be relocating its headquarters to a larger facility in North East Calgary. Given its accelerated growth over the past year, the company has outgrown its old location and is upgrading to a building more suitable for its manufacturing needs. 

Over the course of 2021, HerdWhistle has exploded into the feedlot market. The company officially launched an exclusive Canadian partnership with UFA — one of Canada’s largest cooperatives with over 120,000 member owners. The partnership was integral in securing an inaugural installation with Van Raay Paskal Farms (VRP) — the largest feedlot operator in Canada with 8 feedlots, home to over 150,000 cattle.

The new 36,000 square foot building boasts an extra 13,000 square feet of space compared to the old building. HerdWhistle will use the space as its main sales office and manufacturing facility. The building will also be home to HerdWhistle’s parent company A4 Systems and sister company Agriplay Ventures.

The building will undergo extensive renovations over the holiday season to create a modern and high-tech sales, manufacturing, and R&D space for the three companies. The front office will feature comfortable office space, meeting rooms, product showcase, kitchen, and lounge. A massive back warehouse will feature a manufacturing line, heavy / medium industry area, 3D print farm, and cyber physical studios. The upper mezzanine area will feature a PMO office, electronics clean room, coding workspace, and R&D space. 

HerdWhistle’s plans to enter the United States in 2022 and is close to securing a deal with multiple American distribution partners. The majority of the HerdWhistle components will be manufactured and assembled inside the new headquarters. As the company ramps up across Canada and the United States, the new facility will provide appropriate space to handle the influx of manufacturing that will be required.
