Compare the CattleShield™ Collar and Tag

The CattleShield™ Collar uses a sound cue and can use an electric pulse cue. The electric pulse cue is off by default and is enabled country by country.

Service plan: US$90 per head per year, covering satellite airtime and full analytics, the same for CattleShield™ Collars and HerdWhistle® Tags. A CattleShield™ Tag paired with a CattleShield™ Collar is covered by that Collar's service plan, at no extra fee. No separate airtime, data or analytics charges. The plan starts on activation and is billed yearly in advance, with automatic renewal.

Prices are in US dollars (USD) per unit, EXW Calgary, Alberta. The price band is set by the quantity of each product in one order. Shipping, insurance, taxes, duties and tariffs are extra.

The CattleShield™ Tag (calf tag) goes with the CattleShield™ Collar as a pair when needed. HerdWhistle® Tags are a different product line, with their own satellite connectivity and communication modules.

How pre-sale orders work

• Pre-sales are open worldwide in two windows: the first closes at 11:59 PM MT, February 25, 2027 and the second closes at 11:59 PM MT, August 12, 2027. All pre-sale orders are placed directly with HerdWhistle.
• Pre-sale orders ship in two build cycles. If your 20% deposit is paid by 11:59 PM MT, February 25, 2027, your order ships on or before June 30, 2027. If your deposit is paid after that time and by 11:59 PM MT, August 12, 2027, your order ships on or before November 30, 2027. No pre-sale orders are accepted after 11:59 PM MT, August 12, 2027; regular orders open December 1, 2027.
• We send you a 20% deposit invoice. When your order is ready, we send a ready-for-pickup notice and an 80% balance invoice, due 14 days after that notice. 100% is paid before your order is released for pickup.
• Invoices can be paid by card through Stripe (Visa and Mastercard) or by bank transfer through Wise. There is no online checkout. You pay your own bank, card and transfer charges. Where we must charge tax, such as Canadian GST/HST, we add it to the invoice. All invoices are in US dollars (USD).
• The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel. Orders in the June 30, 2027 build cycle (deposit paid by 11:59 PM MT, February 25, 2027): if delivery is late, you get 10% off the 80% balance for delivery in July 2027, or 20% off for delivery in August 2027, and a full refund if we do not deliver by August 31, 2027. Orders in the November 30, 2027 build cycle (deposit paid after 11:59 PM MT, February 25, 2027 and by 11:59 PM MT, August 12, 2027): you get 10% off the 80% balance for delivery in December 2027, or 20% off for delivery in January 2028, and a full refund if we do not deliver by January 31, 2028.
• Orders are EXW (Ex Works) from our shipping door at Bay 16, 49 Aero Drive, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2E 8Z9. Pick up your order there yourself, or send your own courier or carrier to collect it. We send you the pickup details and your pickup date before June 30, 2027, or before November 30, 2027 for orders in the November 30, 2027 build cycle. You pay shipping, insurance, taxes, duties and tariffs.
