We send you a 20% deposit invoice after we confirm your order. When your order is ready, we send a ready-for-pickup notice and an 80% balance invoice, due 14 days after that notice. 100% is paid before your order is released for pickup.

By card through Stripe (Visa and Mastercard) or by bank transfer through Wise, on our invoice. There is no online checkout. You pay your own bank, card and transfer charges. Where we must charge tax, such as Canadian GST/HST, we add it to the invoice. All invoices are in US dollars (USD).
Yes, before your order ships, by writing to presales@herdwhistle.com. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel; any balance you have paid is refunded.
If your deposit is paid by 11:59 PM MT, February 25, 2027, you get 10% off the 80% balance if your order is delivered July 1–31, 2027, and 20% off if it is delivered August 1–31, 2027. If we do not deliver by August 31, 2027, you get a full refund of everything you paid. If your deposit is paid after that time and by 11:59 PM MT, August 12, 2027, your order is in the November 30, 2027 build cycle: you get 10% off the 80% balance if it is delivered December 1–31, 2027, and 20% off if it is delivered January 1–31, 2028. If we do not deliver by January 31, 2028, you get a full refund of everything you paid.
Orders are EXW (Ex Works) from our shipping door at Bay 16, 49 Aero Drive, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2E 8Z9. You can pick up your order at the shipping door yourself, or send your own courier or carrier to collect it. We send you the pickup details and your pickup date before June 30, 2027, or before November 30, 2027 for orders in the November 30, 2027 build cycle. You pay shipping, insurance, taxes, duties and tariffs.

Yes, one service plan: US$90 per head per year, the same for CattleShield™ Collars and HerdWhistle® Tags. A CattleShield™ Tag paired with a CattleShield™ Collar is covered by that Collar's service plan, at no extra fee. The plan covers satellite airtime and full analytics in the HerdWhistle app, with no separate airtime, data or analytics charges. The plan starts when a unit is activated and is billed yearly in advance. It renews automatically, with the renewal charged 15 days before the renewal date. If that charge fails, we send you a reminder every day, and if the plan is still unpaid 15 days after the renewal charge fails, the plan is cancelled. See section 14 of our Terms of Sale.
The electric pulse cue is off by default on the CattleShield™ Collar and the HerdWhistle® 1000 and 500 Tags. It is enabled country by country.
